Helmet Design - what is more important: Design, Quality, Weight...

Hi,

which brand do you prefer when you choose a new helmet?

Which one do you have?

I would appreciate if you could give me more details!

I need the data for my bachelor thesis.

tried to answer...but some of the questions make no sense...

Example there is one question that says:

Do you wear a faceguard or mouthgard?

Possible answers in your questionnaire are:

What if you have tried and simply do not wear one...did does not mean you would NEVER try it again.

I think this question should be able to be answerd by a simple NO.

Also why is the helmet camera relevant to this? This has nothing to do with the sport. It is fun when a top player puts one on his but has not specific requirement as to safety etc

David

hello david,

thank you for your response. Yes, you are right .. I changed the question with the mouthgard...

I know that a camera is not necessary. but it is only one question more and maybe interesting to see if there is a trend.

Would you make the survey for me?

Done.

Just a quick note:

in the 70s in the US Jack Oxley who was a player and patron (and at one time head of the US Polo Association) paid himself for the whole research on safety to start and to produce the Oxley helmet. This helmet was commercialized in the 70s-80s.

Julian Hipwood who was the captain of England for 20 years used to wear this helmet (and probably no longer does cos he cannot find it anymore). Bottom line is that where this helmet is interesting is that it was the first helmet with the 3point harness, but more importantly it was the ONLY helmet with a faceguard especially designed for it and has the best fit between helmet, fitting of the heard and faceguard that has ever been produced in Polo.

Happy to send pictures if you want to see.
