If you are interested in viewing polo from the 1920's and onward, go to

http://www.britishpathe.com/search/query/POLO

This will be much easier than downloading all the various film clips to PCW.

Here you can see historical snippets of filmed matches such as the 1936 East - West match, International Polo Cup of 1927, Hurlingham 1921, Australian Polo 1939, Duke of Edinburgh 1950 & 1957, the Argentines defeating Greentree in 1936...and so much more.

Outstanding!

Fabulous, I hope mr cat will share this on the discussion "best polo player of all times". Many clips showing the polo, players and ponies of the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and so on.

I agree, especially if it is possible to dissect the films to determine who is playing, what are the stakes, etc. etc. etc.  Overall I am very impressed with the quality of the horses and the players.

Hi, this is truly GREAT.

-  for me, as I am still new to the game – it is a fantastic introduction to Polo history.

Thank you!
