Is there such a thing as a good transporter of ponies by sea from Argentina as flights are now to expensive ?- Boat must have good facilities to look after the ponies though as have heard to many horror stories! Advice and guidance appreciated.

Permalink Reply by TJ Jackson on January 21, 2012 at 19:28 back in the old days that's all they had. the way to do it is to find a liner that will allow you for a groom to go along with them adn take care of them in addition to have an exercise area. not to much space but movement. price can be the main factor into the equation.

Don't do it. Have heard terrible stories about horses that have come over by sea. Even in the best case, it would probably take a year until they were healthy enough to play.

Permalink Reply by David Agie de Selsaeten on March 4, 2012 at 7:41 There is a boat transport from Argentina to Italy with horses. A few patrons on the continent have done it as it cost around 1500 USD per horse and takes 3 weeks. I do not know more then that....
You don t need to go to Argentina at the moment ... there are hundreds of ponies here in the UK for sale ...
