Does anyone have an opinion on which of the established Racing Thoroughbred sires produces suitable polo progeny?

I know the mare needs to be taken into account, and that not all ex racers are re-trained for polo. But there must be a stallion that people have a pony by that has made a nice little pony?

Maybe a Montjeu or Where or When? One of the current stallions must produce a nicer type than the other?

Hello Luis how are you!
the problem in France is that we have no polo stallion avalaible for commercial service then we have to do with what we find...... we know that the Saddlers wells line is good to " accept" polo and also the statistics from dr Heguy who says
http://www.poloparis.com.ar/descargas/PLQ_presentacion.pdf
go on this link and i think you have good information
all our stallions have those origins then:
off course it's not an exact science but ......in Dr Heguy we trust!!!

I have some fillies of a poliglote ( saddlers wells) son, and they are doing very very good.
If you check saddlers wells pedigree youll see that he is a Northern Dancer son !! bingo!!
cheers

Haras De Etreham usually have the top sales results at the Deauville August sales, you can usually rely on their choice for racing anyhow.
Hello Luis
if you have some photos from poliglote fillies
I try to find a son of poliglote in france

i love the look of this horse ! perfect shape for me ...(non sono solo )

KUSTURICA son of ELNADIM by DANZIG
Petong was pretty good! A lot of his offspring made good (high goal) polo ponies after racing. Very nice looking grey.

Everyone goes on about Northern Dancer - but what you need to remember was that he and his famous compatriots covered everything that moved - in fact its hard to find TB's that DONT have Northern Dancer lines! That probably has something to do with it..sheer numbers.

I have two nice TB's at stud too! Kalankari and Dandy Constancio. www.eastwoodstud.com

hi, iam new on this website , iam am currently trying to get together a collection of young horses from the autumn sales ,and am getting interested in the breeding side of things , my partner and i recently bought this mare , who although is not my usual 'type' ( i prefer smaller more robust types ) ,but she is by rainbow quest ( the sire of rainbow corner ) and i have to say she has the most fantastic temperament and is allready playing baby chukkas here at the farm after only 1 month ! do you know any other racing stallions worth following ? i also like 'one cool cat' - have you heard of him ?
regards tikey (picture attatched below !!)
