Teams lIke Exeter University as much better than Cambridge... its a shame that Jack Wills is only interested in big names rather than big chukkas!

We put a club team out against Cambridge the other day (average age 15!) and beat them 8-0. Hmmm.

Yeah they haven't traditionally been anywhere near the best in the country. I'm glad to hear it's improved beyond the -2 goal teams of yesteryear.

Eton and Harrow had some pretty good players last year - not sure if they are still at school or have moved on to University. The standard at last years varsity was amazing.

While we are all here - our university beat both Oxford and Cambridge to win the UK University Polo Championship in February.

Well out in the sticks up here we have some very useful -1s and 0s who are only 14 or 15 so one would hope Eton and Harrow could produce the odd 1 or 2 among their most experienced...

Anyone know anything about the Oxbridge or Eton Harrow teams? I see Cambridge has still got a couple of zero goal players this year, but Oxford are doing a little better. No idea for Eton Harrow...

Ah Nico - you are probably thinking of when I was playing as we seem to be the same age! Yess, we had a couple of thin years around then. Still I think it peaked at about four-goal and stayed around there for a few years. It might have dipped a little this year though...

Whatever happened to the old blues? I was looking forward to a champagne lunch so as to catch up with some old friends!

Out of interest has the varsity game improved recently because the standard used to be awful. I remember watching a few years back and the best player on the field was one of the umpires and he was 17!

I'm guessing the Harvard/Yale standard is pretty good, and Eton/Harrow ought to be able to produce useful 4-6 goal teams I should think. Shame they can't include Cheltenham in there to make it even better...

Hi David...
I think I saw it here in Argentina... not sure if it is a Clothe Model of La Martina or something like that...
Regards.
