"In the UK some people hunt their polo ponies in the winter, so that is sort of like in Argentina where they do cattle work. It makes them very brave, and much fitter and more willing when they come back into fitness. I think I might do that, and…"

New Social Network for Horse Lovers

Hi guys,I've created a social network for horse people, it just went live yesterday. I think it's the sort of thing that people who use this site would be interested in; a way to connect better with other horse lovers. I would also love it if there were lots of polo related topics and groups. If you wouldn't mind taking a look (and joining if you don't mind) and letting me know what you think that would be great! …See More

Do you play your horses in arena?

Hi, I play both grass and arena polo. I prefer grass but I really like arena and I think it's better than nothing, plus it sharpens up your "short game" ball skills.  I have always rented horses in the past but this year I want to play my grass horses in arena. We do this some times when it rains in the summer, and they don't have a problem with the arena. I also believe, both from my experience in show jumping and from reading racing journals, that horses should not have more than 2 months off…See More

Hi Elizabeth
I am really so happy to see the interest of yours in putting in your bit to ensure that this lovely game can become part of the Olympics.
This little step will actually be a giant leap for the survival and growth of the game and the players.

I am sorry I am not on the face book. But pl feel free to contact me on my mail and i will be more than happy to support in my little ways

Visiting India sometimes it shall be great to catch up

We in India as players and the army are doing more than our but at different levels to take this forward seriously. Infact we have acheieved a lot of ground. Slow but steady

The real service to this great sport will actually be when it a part of the great games and its absolutely possible. God willing very soon
Regards
Ally

Thanks for the info! That sounds amazing! I love the area and go once, sometimes twice a year. To be able to get involved would be fantastic! Just a spectator at the moment bot hopefully get up to player standard next season! Are you planning to come down south at all? Mark

Hi, Thanks for that. Are you able to come and watch matches or is it only for players? I go to blairgowrie every year so it would be great to see some polo while im up there. Whereabouts down south are you heading? Mark
