Hi Lucas,

I am a -1 goal player from Ireland. I am relocating to Kuwait City in February 2011. I am delighted to see there is a polo club there. Do you have many members? What is your season? Any information you can send me would be great.

Thanks,

Keith

Hi Lucas,
It's a pleasure to meet you and it sounds like you also have a wonderful life. I am off to the Hamptons tonight and hopefully get some chukkers in while I am there visiting my family over the next few weeks. Maui Polo starts up when I get back in early September. Thanks for saying hello!
Warmest Aloha!

Good to hear you are thinking about starting the first club in Q8!!! Heel Goed! Always welcome; I have good contacts (the best) to help you, with lots of experience. It would be great if your club can make a start with the best in the field on all subjects of Polo; it saves time and money to do it right from the beginning. Let me know how I can be of any help,
kindest regards, Dorothee

Dear Lucas, nice to meet you! Great to hear about your horse-loving career. Your work sound very interesting and your enthusiasm for polo is completely understood. Although our children are still playing, we, my husband and I prefer to leave it now and only play friendly games in Argentina. We used to play high-goal in Sotogrande. I have always been around horses (dressage) but when I played polo for the first time, the real 'feeling one with your horse', I had always strived for in dressage, was spectacular! We started, with friends, the polo in Belgium, bought ponies with Fernando Monteverde and Gonzalo Pieres. I have always bought the best bloodlines, so a breeding was inevitable. I bought 3 2yrs old thouroughbreds in Argentina, all from the same father. two mare, one stallion, all lightly broken. Fernando took care of them and within 2 years one of the mares, Gata, played the Argentine Open. Since that year Gonzalo, Mariano Aguerre, Carlos Gracida played her. Later it became the best mare of Lucas Criado. Meanwhile the othermare played (16 goals) with us in Belgium. I sold her after some years to Lucas Criado, together with a mare, Cidra, to play the Open in Argentina. Dandy Constancio the stallion, played very well, excellent character, good mouth, not too big, perfect! Almost all foals play excellent. He died, but I still have in the UK 2 sons, still stallion. One of them is a son of the half-sister of Colibri, Escobita; one of our best mares ever. In the highgoal in Sotogrande she was excellent. Because of our children being all abroad working, it did not make sense to keep going on and all ponies are now in the UK. I have been able to make a deal with Aurora Eastwood who would sell the older ponies and work the young ones while keeping the 2 stallions. She does a good job with them and I am constantly in touch with her. So this is my part of the polo story :-). If there is anything you would like to know, let me know, Kind regards
