It predisposes to serious injury if tissue is not treated using phhysical medicine methods while the body adusts to changing forces/tissue tensions during training. I did write a similar article for The Blood Horse which is a racing publication and I wrote it such that owners could appreciate my findings. I would be very happy to send you a PDF copy of that if you would kindly send me the best email address to use. Back issues may also be available from the publisher- it was on the cover of the September 2008 issue.
