You are very correct, the domador is very important. You can have the best bloodlines but if you don't have the people that know what they are doing, it's the same as having nothing at all. I am currently working for a friend of mine that had a really bad domador and I have been working with his horses that were so badly broke that I had to start them all over again from the basic ground work to riding. It takes twice as much time to correct bad habits as it would to do it right the first time around.
