Are you sure your groom meets the correct legal requirements?

Following on from the Winter Newsletter sent out by the HPA detailing information regarding work permits for grooms, it should be made known that the HPA will be taking a strict view on players and grooms working without the correct legal requirements.

Sandra

I apologize let me try again.

The bombers system works as follows.

They make a number of different mouth pieces eg snaffle, control plate, buster roller etc.

You can combine the mouth piece with a number of cheek pieces (the part which attaches to the bridle,)

They then call the bit by the combine name mouthpiece plus cheekpiece so snaffle mouthpiece plus Pelham cheek is a 'snaffle Pelham'

Bombers have called a jointed snaffle mouthpiece a snaffle. Strictly this is incorrect because any bit which acts directly without lever is a snaffle.

But if you get the system it's easy to understand. Just combine mouthpiece plus cheekpiece into a name.

The blue is a process during manufacture - it makes the bit taste pleasant.

You are 100 percent correct though the names aren't the normal names but if you think about the system it's much less com

Hello Sandra, How are you? I hope you are fine,Can you help me? I'm a horse lover, I live in the municipality of Calvia (Mallorca, Spain). I would like to try to make a polo field in the municipality of Calvia, and living a lot of foreigners and I think that is an area where you could build, I'm looking for potential investors to do a project together for submission to the council, I think is a unique opportunity for this county, my idea would you build a good polo field, restaurant, stables, training area, in a few years can build a hotel not too big, etc ...... If you know people interested in becoming a financial partner to realize a dream, I would appreciate an email or send me msg. Thanks and best regards Fernando

Did you ever see the Alastair Wilson notes to the Maltese Cat? Here is a nicer version than my copy.

Thank you. You are very good.

By the way, the British (England, Irelend, Scotland and Australia) have all had 10 goal players; however, they have not placed a player on that level since before World War II.

Pardon the confusion.

I meant which are the players who are rated 10 goals presently with the USPA andwith Hurlingham (England), regardless of nationality?

Argentina, through the AAP, shows players by handicap. It is easy to look up who presently holds a 10 goal handicap in Argentina. The USPA Blue Book shows all players, but one has to go page by page through their entire list.

Any faster way?

Sandra,

You appear to be the best at researching all things in polo. Do you have a current list of all 10 goals ranked in the USPA and in England? It is easier when checking the AAP since they are categorized by handicap groupings.

Since you are a fan of Kipling's Maltese Cat, should you ever need an online copy, check my website at:

http://maltesecatpolo.wordpress.com/about/

Especially, check the notes that follow. Perhaps you already know them.

In addition, you can find Hitting Cage Designs at this site, as well as your "favorite" wooden horses.

More articles to follow.

Thanks,

Cat
