Finally stopped raining and we have started to play. We hosted the Aussie Rules football at the weekend which was a great event but churned up the field pretty well.
Singapore just has one field, which is I understand the most played on field in the world - whether this is because it has been in place for so long, or gets played on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday for pretty much 50 weeks a year - I don't know.
Anyway it's a lovely club.

Finally horses have arrived in Singapore, this is an arduous task entailing;
Vets UK side
Transport to Singapore - not the most popular route!
Quarantine in Singapore via the Turf Club
Import Duties
Stable in the polo club (limited)
Now they are here and fit it has rained constantly for 2 weeks so no polo!
Anyway hope to get playing soon and instigate the first Meyado tournament of '08 in Singapore

It's been 3 months since i started playing polo from scratch.. It has been an amazing learning process, i am really happy with my progress... i am really pumped up today since I had some really good plays yesterday in the Wed evening arena chukkers I play at Woodside Horse Park in SFO bay area.. Some of my shots I myself was amazed with .. an offside backhand goal and a near side back hand goal.. I knew they were not a fluke since I had a good contact with the ball and i think i had the right…

Since my back is a bit crooked...I cannot ride...as a child in Lake Oswego Oregon I groomed, and grew up, I think in my mind, being a polo player...I am a member of the Hawaii Polo Club, and travel and been invited to Ham Polo, and Sotogrande, to name a few. I find the Polo crowd to be mostly warm, fun and open. My only wish...is that I could really ride...and be amongst you.

I started playing polo with the University of Louisville Polo club, in Louisville, Kentucky. I'd been on and around horses before, but I learned to ride and play at the same time. I loved the intricacies of arena polo. I held several officer positions for the club, helping it to establish itself. Starting a Polo Club at a University from scratch is a huge challenge.
I ended up moving to Peoria Illinois and working for the Peoria Polo Club thanks to contacts polo has given me. I'm…

The oldest team sport is also today's hippest. Polo lovers are globally uniting for Peace. Sunday, September 21st is officially Peace Day World Wide. Few know or respect this fact.
Please Play Polo 4 Peace on that fine Sunday. Help this 'new' (2005) date's recognition spread. When September 21st becomes second nature (like Valentine's Date) or May 1st, our children will live the reality, at least a single yearly day, of Peace. Yes, one day of complete Peace can be vital. It allows…

I just got back from my usual 3 chukkers on Wednesday's at the Woodside Horse Park ... Today was a lot of Fun... I started the first chukker with my stirrups 2 holes higher than usual.. and some how it made such a big difference for me today .. it was amazing.. I think i had my stirrups too low so far, often during the plays i was losing them.. Today i didn't get that feeling at all... I got the cue on going up two holes on the stirrup leather after reading a blog entry by Tom Goodspeed on polo…
