It's been 3 months since i started playing polo from scratch.. It has been an amazing learning process, i am really happy with my progress... i am really pumped up today since I had some really good plays yesterday in the Wed evening arena chukkers I play at Woodside Horse Park in SFO bay area.. I just got back from my usual 3 chukkers on Wednesday's at the Woodside Horse Park ... Today was a lot of Fun... I started the first chukker with my stirrups 2 holes higher than usual.. and some how it made such a big difference for me today .. it was amazing.. I think i had my stirrups too low so far, often during the plays i was losing them.. Today i didn't get that feeling at all... Today is the 3rd Wednesday in a row of Polo Playing for me. I attend the weekly Polo clinics run by Erik Wright in the San Francisco bay area ... Today I felt like a Polo Player!!!! don't know how to describe it but it was a great feeling .. I made several good mallet contacts with the ball and it was a thrill to see the ball fly.. I also felt that i was using the mallet better, swinging more from the arm and less wrist action.. I played 3 chukkers today, the first two chukkers were a struggle as i was still striving to get my seat and maintain my balance .. the last chukker was the best.. there were some really satisfying plays. Today i took my first Polo lesson and was the first time i "played" polo in my life.. And boy what a rush of adrenaline, excitement and the real big time challenge to actually hit the ball ..
