Today is the 3rd Wednesday in a row of Polo Playing for me. I attend the weekly Polo clinics run by Erik Wright in the San Francisco bay area ... I just realized that in the last 3 Wednesdays of polo action, I have played a total of 8 arena chukkers and i already feel I have gone through a transition from "Awed Polo spectator & wanna be Polo enthusiast" to "A player who is seriously self demanding and challenging" ... It took me just 8 Chukkers to make this transformation.. and while i was driving back home, i knew the title of my blog today had to be "8 Chukkers of life" .

All in all this week was a great week in Polo for me. This past weekend I attended the UMPIRE clinic run by a professional empire and employee of Polo Training Foundation (PTF) of US. It was great to sit through the rules videos and see how to judge fouls and understand the Line of the Ball and Right of Way from an Umpire perspective... Apart from all the technical terms I learned from this clinic, it also gave me a different perspective on Polo : It is a very disciplined sport and NOT a mallet swinging and horse bumping war :) ..
