In Marseille, south of France, the students of Euromed Management School created a remarkable project. They decided to create a universitarian polo team including scholarship students who could not have had the possibility to play polo without EUROMED POLO TEAM.

Florence Clerc and Pierre Merigot de Treigny plan on training 14 Euromed students so as to take part in the official universitarian tournaments held in Chantilly by the Dan Deville’s Association du Polo des Grandes Ecoles. To reach this objective, they called on Olivier Girard, one of the few French 5 goals player, to train them and on Spirit of Polo to provide them with equipment. They will train every week-end in the Polo Club de St Cannat and will offer initiations to Euromed students.

Even if supported by Thierry Brener, this project still needs a little help to start in the best conditions. The team currentely includes 12 players and requires a sponsor to finance the membership to the French Polo Association, the equipment and the training of the 2 scholarship students it wishes to integrate soon.

We wish them good luck for this daring project which tries to open up the polo world and will convey its values within the students. We hope to see them all in Chantilly on April 7th and 8th in the openning tournament of the universitarian season organised by the Dan Deville’s Association du Polo des Grandes Ecoles. For more information check their:
