hi there, would somebody mind telling me more about Palermo. I am hopefully coming out to Argentina for it on 28th Nov, how do I book tickets, would it be via 'asociacion argentina de polo' website? and what matches should I buy tickets for (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and final) considering I'm only out from 28th? I know Palermo runs from 22 Nov - 13 Dec 2009 but is that just weekends or are there games everyday? also which are the best seats, apart from in the grandstand? sorry it may sound stupid but I don't really know anything about it so all help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Sarah

I watched a wonderful polo match last Saturday in our first Open at Tortugas Country Club where the Novillo Astrada’s disgracefully lost 9 to 10 with the Pieres bros, plus Pablo Mac Donough and Juan M. Nero. Javier Novillo Astrada in spite of the tumour in his brain, is playing in such way, that nobody understands how a guy with such terrible problem can make it, but he is man of faith and hope, both of which are crucial to overcome any problem in life, his last interview shows his integrity and his spiritual strength, backed by his wonderful family. But going back to the tournament, we had lots of surprises, for instance and thanks to the change of the rules, or to say it straightforwardly recovering the old rules, the matches are faster, without so many useless stops, as we had witnessed when La Dolfina lost last Tuesday with Chapa II from the Heguy’s brothers. This year we shall have much better games, and nobody can predict who will win not only Tortugas, maybe Ellerstina, but there are other teams who are playing wonderfully like Pilara with Agustín Merlos, Santiago Chavanne, Sebastian Merlos and Marcos Heguy, who are doing an excellent job with an exciting polo. This weekend will be decisive, but we must wait for Hurlingham now. Just another short comment, what I noticed compared with 2008, we have fewer foreign spectators this year; this is a direct consequence of the global economic crisis.
