What personal information do we collect?

The information you provide us directly during the registration process and while using our website including:

  • Your username, e-mail address and password (However, even administrators can’t actually see your password)
  • Your profile information – you share with us when registering or updating your profile
  • Your “User Content” (photos, videos, blog posts, comments and other inputs you share on our website)
  • Information you share while communicating with members of our staff (mainly via email, live chat or phone)

How do we protect your information?

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.

Besides regular malware scans there’s a range of security measures implemented by our hosting provider which include among others:

  • Limiting login attempts
  • Changing the default DB prefix for every new site to protect against database hacks.
  • Disabling SSH access.
  • Hosting on individual VPS’s (not shared hosting).
  • IP Blocking to help prevent against malicious behavior and DDOS attacks.
  • Fail2Ban for IP’s repeatedly attacking sites.
  • “Herd Immunity” – IP’s attacking other sites on our hosting providers’ network can be pre-emptively blocked before our website is attacked.
  • Permissions are locked down on all core WordPress files including the wp-config file.
  • Regular automatic updates of the core files of our content management system.
  • Partnership with Sucuri scanner to scan sites nightly.
  • In-house malware scanner to scans sites nightly.
  • Free malware removal by professionals.

Besides measures implemented by our hosting provider we:

  • Force Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection.
  • Check code regularly for vulnerabilities that might not be detected by automated scans (tests conducted by professionals penetration tester)
  • As well as other measures that we won’t describe in details for security purposes

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a very limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Do we use ‘cookies’?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

For instance, we use cookies to:

This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when it’s release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety. 

However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We, therefore, have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.


Google’s advertising requirements can be summed up by Google’s Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users. 

We have not enabled Google AdSense on our site but we may do so in the future.
